Though it has been some time since I have posted on our church blog, I am thankful to have a forum in which to announce exciting changes in our ministry. On June 5th, we welcomed to our staff a new Youth Pastor, my son Patrick Baggett. Patrick and his wife Ashley moved to Clarksville from Lancaster, California to partner with us in ministry and lead our teenagers. Patrick was, and is still currently (through online studies), a student of West Coast Baptist College pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Church Ministry.  Patrick and Ashley have been married a little over two years and have a passion to see the current and future generations serve the Lord, and have dedicated their life to His service!

Welcome our new Administrative Pastor

As I pause to reflect, I am amazed to see God’s hand of continued blessing resting upon Bible Baptist Church. Luke’s account of describing the church of Berea in Acts 17 was that they “were more noble… In that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so”. This should be the desire of every New Testament church that seeks to honor Christ with their life and with their service.

I would like to introduce a new staff member to Bible Baptist Church. Brother Roger Powell and his wife, Joy, have a combined total of over eighty years of pastoral and music ministry experience. It is both an honor and a privilege to have a family of this caliber and experience to join our church family. He will be serving as the Administrative Pastor and Minister of Music. We would like to welcome both he and his wife as well as their daughter, Rachel, to our church.

Christmas with Ben Everson

God has once again chosen to pour out his blessing upon our church this past weekend. The Christmas concert with the Ben Everson family was such a great experience. It is so exciting to see the Everson children stand beside their parents and with such joy and poise singing to the Lord. What a blessing! I do hope that each of you took advantage of the opportunity to purchase some of their music. If not, visit their website soon and fill the air with brother Ben’s creative and Christ-honoring music.

Carol of the Bells – Ben Everson

I would also like to thank the Lord for the faithfulness of so many of our members to invite their friends and family to our church. We have seen 47 professions of faith this year, which is nothing short of amazing! I am so excited to see how the Lord will use us as we continue to each do our part for His glory.

For the month of December my Sunday morning messages will shift to the theme of Christ’s birth. We will begin with The Substance of Christ’s Bloodline, the next week we will look at The Statement of Christ’s Sinlessness and the following week we will look to The Significance of Christ’s Birth. I look forward to seeing you here.

Serving together with you,
Pastor Baggett

Our new website

We recently began working on a new website which could allow us to better inform our visitors, and also communicate with our current members in a broader aspect. Our new website not only provides extensive information about our church and its history, but also allows members to listen to recent sermons and view upcoming events.

We are proud to add this new addition to our church, and we hope it will be a blessing to you all.
